Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced API Platform & Integration expert to establish and manage the organization's API ecosystem using Kong API Gateway (Open Source). The role will be responsible for API governance, integration architecture, microservices adoption, SOAP-to-REST modernization, and seamless integration across internal and external business applications.

The candidate will work closely with application, infrastructure, cloud, and business teams to build a scalable, secure, and stable API framework supporting the organization's digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

API Platform & Governance

• Design and implement an enterprise API Management Framework using Kong API Gateway.
• Establish API governance, standards, versioning, documentation, and lifecycle management.
• Manage API onboarding, publishing, monitoring, and operational support.
• Ensure API performance, availability, and scalability.

Integration & Development

• Design, develop, and manage REST and SOAP-based integrations.
• Lead SOAP-to-REST API transformation initiatives.
• Integrate internal and external business applications, partner systems, and third-party platforms.
• Support backend integrations built on PHP Laravel and Python.

Microservices Architecture

• Design and implement microservices-based architecture.
• Define service communication standards and integration patterns.
• Support application modernization and service decomposition initiatives.
• Ensure scalable, maintainable, and resilient application architecture.

Cloud & Platform Management

• Support API and integration solutions hosted on AWS.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and cloud teams for deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
• Ensure platform reliability, security, and operational stability.

Security & Compliance

• Implement API security standards and access controls.
• Ensure secure integrations and compliance with organizational policies.
• Support security reviews and vulnerability remediation activities.

DevOps & Operations

• Support CI/CD implementation for API deployments.
• Manage API monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
• Drive automation and operational efficiency initiatives.

• Exposure to containerization technologies and cloud-native applications.
• Experience setting up API governance frameworks from scratch.

Educational Qualification

• B.E. / B.Tech / MCA / M.Sc. (IT/Computer Science) or equivalent.
